Bob and Karen Mueller have dedicated 40 years to establishing McKenzie-Mueller Vineyards and Winery. Their first vineyard, planted in 1978 in the Oak Knoll AVA, was home to roughly 4 acres of their Cabernet Franc and eventually Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc as well. In 1986, they found a site in the Los Carneros AVA of Napa Valley where they hoped to establish additional vines as well as a small winery, and in 1988 planting began.

Aromas of Manuka honey, cantaloupe, and pear with flavors containing notes of preserved lemon zest, dried apricots, and white pear giving it lots of balanced depth with an inviting mouthfeel and lingering finish. Los Carneros, Napa Valley, California Pinot Gris Limited wine (230 cases produced)

Cabernet Franc Estate Bottled - Unfiltered, 2017 | McKenzie-Mueller Vineyards and Winery

Our 2017 Cabernet Franc shows aromas of black cherry, strawberry, bell pepper, red chili pepper, damp earth, and a hint of cedar. On the palate, it's fruit-forward with ripe flavors of strawberry and cherry and an herbaceous earthiness that follows. It has firm tannins with nice acidity to balance out the overall mouthfeel. Because of its young age, recommend to decant for 15-30 minutes before enjoying. Drinking window: now through 2040. Napa Valley, Napa, California Cabernet Franc

Our 2015 Malbec shows ripe, bright stone fruit and berry aromas of black cherries, plum, and blackberries along with subtle tropical notes and undercurrents of cocoa and vanilla beans.
