This embroidered word was made for the cover of Land of Nod by Maricor/Maricar. They say they are “graphic designers, illustrators, animators, and makers of things assorted.” They are twin sisters from Austria who make type with cut paper and embroidery. Land of Nod discovered the sisters on pinterest, and commissioned them to make their 2012 winter cover. Their only instructions were to make the type red and say “sale”.
