Welcome to Hope Haven! We are a 501(c)3 non-profit farm animal sanctuary nestled in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, PA. Our mission is to rescue neglected farm animals that have been surrendered at local animal shelters, confiscated by local humane agents, or saved from factory farms. They now live out their lives with comfortable housing, nutritious food, and companionship from others of their own kind. They also receive endless love and affection from the human components of the sanctuary!

Got roosters? We do!! We have 7 resident roos here (3 gorgeous brothers are up for adoption). Roosters are all too often unwanted byproducts of the backyard chicken movement. This is so unfortunate because they are truly gorgeous and intelligent birds. More often than not they remain very friendly toward people while they valiantly protect the hens in their care. Our roosters are Gertie (pictured here), Frank, Little Joe Cocker, Tidbit, and the Brothers Grimm. They are all wonderful…
