I highly recommend the movie "About Time." It is a romantic time traveling comedy drama! I loved it! Recommended by Tina P., Customer Service

This year I’m going to pick "The Columbus Affair," by Steve Berry. It is a modern, political-thriller that ties back to a secret reason behind Christopher Columbus’ expedition to the new world. Similar writing style to the DaVinci Code, easy to recommend. Recommended by Joel B., Adult Services

I really enjoyed the audiobook The Rosie Project by Graeme C. Simsion. The main character, Don, has this great Australian accent. It was a sweet story and showed a perspective on what it means to live with Asperger's. Recommended by Diana M., Customer Service

This film is so intriguing, what a great talent Vivian Maier was, and how fortunate that her work was found. Check out this Oscar-nominated documentary film -- and her photography -- wow! Recommended by Kelly K., Adult Services

This is not just another cookbook by the Barefoot Contessa. This cookbook helps you organize your meals ahead of time, so that when your guests arrive you can sit, socialize, even have a glass of wine! I have been cooking Thanksgiving dinner for 15 years, this year’s dinner was not only delicious, it was seamlessly organized. By following the make ahead recipes, all I had to do Thanksgiving morning was stuff the bird and make salad. Highly recommended! (Patty, Children's Services)

A terrific novel about life -- its ups, downs and relationships -- with believable female characters Claire and Vivien. Claire is a young wife in the early 1960's, at the time of JFK's inauguration; Vivien is a young writer in the early 1900's who survived the San Francisco Earthquake. I really enjoyed the way the characters' lives were entwined -- I did not suspect the connection until the author made it known. Loved this book, highly recommended! (Kelly, Adult Services)

A young girl in Paris who is blind harbors a precious jewel to Saint Malo to be safe during WWII. A young orphaned boy in a German mining town has a special talent with radios, and is chosen for training by Hitler's Youth Corps. How their stories intersect is brilliantly portrayed in this intricate and moving novel, one that will stay with me for some time. (Kelly, Adult Services)
