20-foot dinosaur made of balloons!
Balloon Art, Natural History, Virgina Museum, Dinosaurs, Balloon Sculpture, Balloon Animal
Balloonasaurus Airigami specializes in making crazy balloon sculptures, but they might've outdone themselves by making this 20-foot-long reproduction of the acrocanthosaurus, which was put alongside real dinosaur skeletons at the Virgina Museum of Natural History.
"This is the 20-foot long balloon animal Acrocanthosaurus built by balloon-twisting professional Larry Moss and his team at Airigami for Virginias Museum of Natural History."

A 20 ft sculpture of a acrocanthosaurus, made entirely of balloons. Found at the Virginia Museum of Natural History, you can watch a video of it being made here:
This is a six-metre-tall sculpture of an acrocanthosaurus, made entirely from balloons. It's housed at the Virginia Museum of Natural History
This 20-foot-tall acrocanthosaurus is made out of twisted-together balloons. It was created over four days by Larry Moss and Kelly Cheatle’s company Airgami for the lobby of the Virgina Museum of Natural History.

Larry Moss’s Airigami team did and assemble a huge-ass balloon dinosaur in the lobby of the Virgina Museum of Natural History. This balloonimal is an acrocanthosaurus, which is a carnivorous dinosaur from the Early Cretaceous period. At 20 feet long, its almost a 1:1 scale model. Cool. It took about 4 days to complete. This time lapse video shows the building of a 20-foot balloon acrocanthosaurus at the Virginia Museum of Natural History April 19-21, 2013. Design and project management by Larry

Artist Bradley Hart doesn't draw or paint — he injects. Hart uses syringes to inject acrylic paints into bubble wrap to create beautifully pixelated portraits. One of Hart's most interesting injection series subjects is Steve Jobs (pictured above). The artist started with a photo of the late Apple co-founder and allowed the playful shipping staple to act as his canvas.

Artist Bradley Hart doesn't draw or paint -- he injects. Hart uses bubble wrap to create beautifully pixelated masterpieces, including this one of Steve Jobs.
These pixelated photo-realistic images are made by injecting bubble wrap with acrylic paint. Made by Canadian artist Bradley Hart, the process is painstaking, because not only does he have to get every colour just right to create the desired effect, but he also has to surgically remove all the dripped paint from the backside of the material.
Portraits from made by injecting bubble-wrap with paint! Bradley Hart, who currently has a solo exhibition running over at Gallery Nine5, basically takes bubble wrap and patiently injects every individual bubble with acrylic paint to create photorealistic portraits.
The most creative thing I’ve ever done with bubble wrap was putting a bunch of it under my mom’s tire before she backed out of the garage. It was the bigger bubble wrap, so it sounded funny. Artist Bradley Hart found a much more creative use for the stuff. He injects each little bubble with paint to create beautiful portraits, like the one above.
Bradley Hart has created a pointillism portrait of Steve Jobs by injecting paint into bubble wrap.

Giant Metal Cow, Made From Recycled Car Parts

The Finnish sculptor Miina Äkkijyrkkä purchases dozens of used vehicles from dealers around Finland and uses them to create enormous cow sculptures!
Mänttä-Vilppula, Finland Given its background as factory town for producing toilet paper, Mänttä seems like an unlikely place for a burgeoning art scene , but that’s exactly what’s happening in this small town in central Finland. Each summer, contemporary art can be found throughout the town for the Mänttä Art Festival . Coinciding with the art festival in August is the Mänttä Music Festival , which is the only international piano festival in Finland.

Silver playground in New York by Tom Otterness

TOM OTTERNESS--Love his stuff. We have some here in Toronto but there's a ton more in NYC. Went a little nuts in the subway, taking pictures, the last time I visited.
Playground art made by Tom Otterness for Silver Towers Playground, New York City, NY; photo by James Dee
Tom Otterness unveiled the sculpture in May, 2009 at a public park in front Larry Silverstein's Silver Towers on W. 42nd Street, NYC. Aptly titled 'Playground,' the sculpture of a man has slides for legs, seats for hands and arms a child can shimmy up with ease. Tom Otterness' Playground is a Hit with Kids and Parents in Hell's Kitchen.
prior pin: Tom Otterness, an artist known for those little brass sculptures at the 14th Street station and Eighth Avenue subway station, unveiled the sculpture in May, 2009 at a public park in front Larry Silverstein's Silver Towers on W. 42nd Street, NYC. Aptly titled 'Playground,' the sculpture of a man has slides for legs, seats for hands and arms a child can shimmy up with ease. Tom Otterness' Playground is a Hit with Kids and Parents in Hell's Kitchen.
Tom Otterness’ Life Underground: Though most public art in New York City is displayed prominently in center squares, or among the fountains of Central Park, Tom Otterness’ Life Underground takes the subway. Every day, more than 30,000 people walk through the New York City subway station at 14th Street and 8th Avenue at rush hour, passing by his little bronze sculptures that are clustered throughout the station, making a statement as the riders make their way to the A train.
