The show was created as a night-time parody of daytime soap operas, presented as a weekly half-hour prime time comedy. Similar to a soap opera, the show's story was presented in a serial format and included melodramatic plot elements such as alien abduction, demonic possession, murder, and kidnapping. In 2007 it was listed as one of Time magazine's "100 Best TV Shows of All-TIME."

Dick Clark was host of the American Band Stand TV Show and had many popular Music artist on his show. Elvis was big in the50's, along with Ricky Nelson, and some of the trios and quartets who sang. Diana Ross, and the Supremes, I remember, Everly Brothers, sang a song about Susy. And Dream, dream, dream. Elvis's song that I played over and over was Love me tender. I wasn't into Rock and Roll and dancing too much, but some of the songs were great.
