“Muffin Tops”..having a bit of a problem with those hated “love handles” and being a total fan of low rise jeans I have, too, been tempted to say “Oh, what the heck” and ignore that fleshy overflow. Not a good road to take at all, ladies, so do take my advice and don’t let this fashion faux pas ever leave your rooms. The so called “muffin top” will literally butcher your fine physique, making your legs look shorter and your waist chunkier!

Odd numbered sizes are for juniors with junior type bodies (aka no curves), not womanly figures. If that doesn't work, try going with a higher rise. Low rises usually sit a few inches below the belly button which does nothing to help contain and control any sort of tummy, in which case it'll spill out over the jeans and form a muffin top. A higher rise (and the right size) will contain it everything where it should be instead of smooshing things around in odd places. I'm not saying to wear high waisted mom jeans, but some sort of mid-rise would be worth a shot.

These are not the best looking muffins ever, but they taste good! I was measuring out all my ingredients. I was on the baking powder and my son woke up from his nap. I ran to go get him and when I came back down.. I could not remember if I measuring out my baking powder. I thought a little bit.. and came to the conclusion I didn't..well by looks of how these turned out, I KNOW I added double the amount. Either way, they taste really good and I'm sitting on 1 doz so no plans in a while to make again.. So I guess this picture will do for now until I made next time. Candice's Low Carb Apple Cinnamon Muffins Ingredients: 12 muffins: 1 3/4 cup Vanilla Whey 1/4 cup ground almonds 1 cup granulated splenda 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup vegetable oil 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 SMALL apple 6 muffins: 3/4 cup + 2 Tablespoons Vanilla Whey 2 Tablespoons ground almonds 12 cup granulated splenda 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream 1/4 cup water 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil 1 large egg 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 SMALL apple Preheat oven 350F Line muffin tin with paper liners Wash apple, then you can either peel and chop up OR peel and grade on a cheese grader. Set aside. In large bowl mix vanilla whey, ground almonds, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, & nutmeg, then set aside. In a smaller bowl mix eggs, heavy cream, water, oil, and vanilla. You only need to mix enough to break up eggs a little. Mix in splenda. Add the cut up apple to your dry ingredients. Just using a spatula to mix, make sure all the apples are coated. Make a well in the middle of the bowl and add your wet ingredients. Mix only until everything is wet, DO NOT OVER MIX.. If you over mix you end up with a tough bread( this is true for all quick breads). Spoon in to prepared muffin pan. Bake at 350F for 18-20 mins Nutritional information for 1 muffin: Energy 146 kcal Carbohydrate, by difference 4.92 g Sugars, total 1.15 g Fiber, total dietary 0.63 g Protein 10.04 g Total lipid (fat)10.88 g http://candiceslowcarbrecipes.typep...on-muffins.html

Candice’s Low Carb Pancakes Serves 1. 3 Tablespoons vanilla whey protein powder 2 Tablespoons ground almonds 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon splenda 1 large egg 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil or melted butter 1-2 teaspoons water 1/2 teaspoon maple extract Heat a large frying pan over medium heat. Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl (especially if doubling the recipe). Spoon batter onto a greased, heated (I use about 1/4 t butter, it really is plenty) frying pan.
