STORY OF ABRAHAM English mid-17th century Needlework picture English canvas-work over- mantel needlework picture depicting scenes from the life of Abraham. Several of the various scenes were copied from c.1585 Gerard de Jode engravings. The center shows Abraham Entertaining the Angels, the lower left depicts Abraham dismissing Hagar, right center is Abraham and Isaac, etc.
