Even when they aren’t all the same, Their spirit can love and accept. Even when they get hurt, Their spirit can forgive and maybe even forget. Even when Their status paths differ, Their spirit can fargin and be really happy. Even when one is crippled, Their spirit can see so far past the physical. Even when they are so different, Their spirit can link arms and dance! When hearts are together, spirits are high, and superficial barriers can break. Four mosaic dancers painting.

I’ll tell you how I came up with this painting - a long time ago I saw a painting of butterflies in a magazine and filed the concept somewhere in my brain, knowing that I wanted to recreate it somehow. Last week I came across that image again and I remembered my inspiration & knew that if I didn’t act NOW it wouldn’t happen. So here it is! I love the light, abstract and the flow of the painting, but the meaning behind it has my heart. Multicolored, abstract dancing chassidim painting.

Dance with Abandon | Original

This beautiful Yaeli original expresses the joy in living as your true self.

Life is full of breakthroughs and with art it's the same thing. This painting is titled "The Next Level", since with this painting I did just that. It's "The Paradox" painted in neutral hues. Multicolored abstract neutral hues painting.

Going into the unknown is scary. But I can't help it, I'm too curious not to! But as I go, I coach myself - just continue Yaeli...each stroke makes me want to pull back, or stop altogether. The voice inside says, just leave it, it's good, one more stroke can mess it all up. But then I ignore that voice and add some more. And more. And more....Until it ALL sings!! So with all that I present to you: COLOR ME A SONG. Colorful abstract Chassidish band painting.

Color Me a Song (SOLD)

Color Me a Song was inspired by the MOMA. The minute I got home, I was itching to paint it all. I did not know what I was going to create, and the beginning, like many times, was frustrating. As the paint came on and the strokes were being layered on, I followed where I was being led, and a song was born! Art is jus

A touch of edge. 16X20 Acrylic on Canvas

A butterfly in its transformation, with all its magnificent beautiful colors forming to life, with alef bet surrounding it as prayer is supposed to transform us.

Transformation

Transformation, growth, change, metamorphosis. These are all words that are running through right now as I sit and write this post. • I painted the butterfly because of its beauty and inspiration. We can all grow into our beautiful selves. It doesn’t have to be in this dramatic way, but rather in small baby steps.

HIDDEN TZADIK. It’s not picking up in this image but one man is wearing orange. No tallis, or hat..or black and white. But he’s there. Davening. He may not dress like me, but HaShem listens to both of us, just the same. I don’t know his heart. I can’t judge. He very well may just be a hidden tzadik. I will never know. So I make space by the wall and room in my heart. Abstract painting, scene of praying at the kotel.

Kotel Notes | Original

The notes of the Kotel with the image of a hidden man praying. A stunning Yaeli original.

This was, one of the most challenging paintings I have ever ventured out to paint. Not due to the physical painting part, but due of the mental part. My brain so badly wanted to turn this abstract into detail. But I fought it every minute of painting, being brave and exploring outward. I love how there is more red on the bride's side and more blue by the groom, bringing together the masculine and feminine energy together, thus creating magic! Abstract chuppah painting,

Abstract Chuppah (SOLD)

This painting started off with no agenda. I was inspired by a combination of colors that I had seen in a magazine and put all those colors on the pallete, deciding to embrace the challenge of using a limited pallete. Long strokes came about and I noticed that there was a lot of red on one side equally balanced by the

There are many things that come to mind. The two that I think about are at the Chuppah and Mazal tov. Pomegranate with reflection painting

When I stare at this painting, which does happen often..( since it's always on the top of my originals in the studio), I can't help but think of boldness. The colors and the strokes embrace that. I also know the back end of the painting and to see the finished product makes me proud. Colorful dancing block painting.

Dancing Color Block

Yaeli Vogel

As I mature I find life to be a paradox. On one hand, we need to focus on the small details and things since every little bit makes the whole. From ingredients for a recipe, to designing a space, to the halachos that we follow. Every small bit makes up the whole. On the very flip side, objective outlooks, focusing on the whole, rather than the tiny aspect, is an unleashing experience to the human spirit. Multicolored abstract chassidim dancing painting.

"What’s meant to be will always find a way” This painting started off with a splash of iridescent pearl white and gold curls. I turned my back to fill up on more paint and when I laid eyes on the canvas I saw it. Yitzchak and Rivka. It is this weeks parasha, (and no, it’s not a coincidence - It was on my mind and we focus on what’s in our heads). I went with it! There is symbolism with the colors. Female and male energy is as different as black and white. Isaac and Rebecca abstract…

Yitzchak and Rivka

When I started painting this piece, I was feeling lots of bold colors. I was in a bold mood...sometimes it's that simple;) So the background is filled with reds, black and silver. I painted that vertically. I then turned it horizontal, and saw a fire in the middle, so went with that and created a lag baomer scene, completely by accident! But, that's a good thing;) PS - there is an enormous amount of metallics in this piece, which seriously brightens up the room Colorful dancers painting.

Blue flowers. Palette knife. This is a match made in heaven, right here! This beauty couldn't have found a better place. I once met a woman. It was all in the span of ten minutes, but sometimes it's just like that. She vulnerably shared with me the baggage she was carrying, tearing up while doing so. I so badly wanted to give her a hug, but I didn't. I don't know why. I still think about her from time to time. If I could get that moment once more I'd be sure to capture it, alright. Like these flowers, right here, captured in their element. Real, vulnerable and present.. Yellow and white flowers, oil medium.

Peonies painting. Pink flower painting. I find it fascinating how we all differ from one another yet are so similar in other ways.. For me it's always quality over quantity. For others it's the exact opposite! I'd rather have a limited amount of things, knowing that they are invested into, with my time, energy and carry special sentiment. That's me. (For better or for worse;)) & these peonies right here, seem to understand me, looking so fine in their glass vase

New worlds tend to open up and unfold as we go along. It’s important to have a plan and have goals, but sometimes plans change and we need to go on a detour. Those detours are what makes the journey so exciting! Sometimes we just have to trust and go along with it all. This painting definitely reminded me of that. I completely went along with what I saw in front of me...relying on my brush and hand to lead the way! Multicolored roses in watercolor medium.

This morning it 🌧 rained so hard, one couldn’t imagine how the sun would ever shine! But then it did - It marveled my mind!! I was driving and thinking: change can happen in an instant! Even when we can’t fathom how it will be, it can and it does! Then I saw all the cherry blossoms & green grass ...and thought, and that’s why we need the rain. Gloomy as it is, it induces growth. For those of you who were following the process on the lives ;) While painting it, you heard me listen to music. When I paint, I must be listening to music or something inspirational. It’s so brain fulfilling. I listened to a bunch of stuff, but one thing stuck the most and it says “Courage doesn’t always roar, sometimes, courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day, saying, I’ll try again tomorrow. But my family comes first. They get my quality time first, my mental energy and my support. All else comes after. I don’t think there is such a thing as work life balance, it’s all one...but mentally there has to be two different sections and knowing when to shut one off is GOLDEN. I’m learning.

It didn’t feel pressurized - I just would slowly add more strokes, knowing that something would emerge. It was my nightly escape, each time going to my studio and painting some more until something did happen! It turned out very different from my other works but very cool. With all of that, introduce to you: ASCENDING. 40" x 30" Acrylic on Canvas

Ascending

This painting was my escape for the two weeks. I was using a photo as a reference and it was very intricate and overwhelming. I told myself: “one stroke at a time”...When I couldn’t see anymore, I left my brushes for the next day. It didn’t feel pressurized - I just would slowly add more strokes, knowing that something

So many times we are critical with our shortcomings and try to aim for perfection. Yes, we can be objective and clearly see our imperfections, but after all of that, there should be acceptance. Accepting our whole selves for who we are and focusing on our good parts. Working on ourselves selves takes a lifetime, let’s enjoy the process by looking in the mirror and enjoying what we’ve actually got.

There is something so serene about Friday Night prayers are the Kotel. I close my eyes and see it...right after lighting the candles, going down to the Kotel for a prayer. You can almost touch the spiritual hug from God. It feels so safe and warm. Surrounded by glistening lights, and holy sounds. If only I can be there right now. I yearn for the day..in the meantime I will paint. Paint the scene for all of our souls to soak in...

Music is Life

Music is life, that’s why our hearts have beats! 36X48 Acrylic & gold leaf on canvas

Art is jus
