Good Idea! Students have to write in a log every time they do not turn in their homework on time and explain themselves. This helps teachers keep track of how many times the same student does not do his/her homework, makes students think about why they did not do their homework, and establishes accountability.
"I Didn't Do My Homework" folder - kiddos write in the day/assignment/reason they didn't do their work - has everything in the kiddos own handwriting for guardians/administration and for me to see how many assignments have been late. What a good idea!
Changing my Homework Log! No Homework Binder - to help keep track of missing homework (good for student accoun tability!)

It's Your Choice behavior chart
Great problem solving wheel for young ones! From: mixedupdays: My school is pushing Kelso’s choice wheel, but since I have a “rockets and robots” theme in my room, I decided to draw my own. It has the exact same choices and wording, and it was a lot of fun to draw. So yesterday I made a T chart with my students about “small problems” (try two choices from the wheel) and “big problems” (tell an adult). I connected this to our lessons about bullying by pointing out that anything on the “small problems” side could become a big problem or even bullying if it was repeated deliberately with the intent to cause fear, and so on. Then I brought out the wheel poster and we went over each of the choices. We did a little role play using the choices on the wheel, and decided together where to hang the poster. Now I need to be consistent and insistent upon making the students use it and try two choices before *I* jump in and solve “small problems”! Great idea.
