There were fish. Hundreds of fish. Thousands of fish. Little, silver fish who moved in sheets and big, craggy fish with deep-set eyes and gasping traps. All around them towered mountains, but they were underwater mountains, sharp and black and forbidding. "How can we breathe?" asked Meryl and when she met her gaze, Annie could see the the movements of the sea creatures in them, so that her sister's eyes became two, tiny oceans. LH (Merve Ozaslan)
